"O King, how does one make their five sense organs great or pure?" Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji replied: the sense organs can become great by having love and devotion for the one Lord. Every line of Raagmala is read this way, as an answer to a question asked by the Sikhs, and under each answer sits a quotation from elsewhere in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji that carries the same teaching.
